We were one of the first to cover Teen Daze in May when 'Shine on' hit the internet. This new song, 'Driving Home From The Beach (The Feeling Of)' is exactly what the title suggests. He told me 'I was driving home from the lake the other day and was feeling super nostalgic about it' This song captures those moments when you are daydreaming about the good things in life. The stuff that you don't take for granted. You could even be daydreaming about the amazing day you just finished with your friends at the beach. I think this song is about appreciating the finer things.... No, I'm not talking about your Ipad, I'm talking about being outside, in touch with everything around you...and fully taking advantage of a nice day. My friends and I have been making weekly trips to the beach, Teen Daze already gets a lot of play on the Ihome. This is yet another instant classic to throw on the Get Beached, Get Stoned playlist. Download it below, mannn.

Teen Daze - 'Four More Years'
So I am just going to keep reposting this article with updates because more and more information has oozed out from Teen Daze. They are now featured on Pitchfork's Forkcast and have just announced they will be releasing their EP 'Four More Years' off one of our favorite record lables Arcade Sound. They feature bands like Magic Man, Memory House, MillionYoung, and the just added Cool Runnings. Congrats to Teen Daze, and if you don't have the music...what the fuck are you waiting for, don't you want to say 'I knew these guys when....'
(The following was written on 4/27) Summer is just around the corner, and we have the new jam to help melt you into the summer sun. Teen Daze, from Vancouver has a total of 315 views on their myspace account (well a few more now) and is set to play their first show ever on May 8th. The song is 'Shine On You Crazy White Cap', the first single off their EP 'Four More Years'. It's a jaunty tune...reminds me a lot of Toro y Moi's song 'Freak Love'. The groups name describes the track best. It certainly is dazy...it's drenched in synth bliss and it flows just like The Farmington. 'Let's drive to the coastline, tonight' - that line pretty much sums up how I feel about my life right now. I just want to get in a car, drive to Cali, and never come back. Oh and I never want to grow up...just four more years plzzzz. Don't sleep on this! Check out their Myspace and grab a free download HERE. Thanks to white guys with beards for the link. Newest addition to OA's Best Beats playlist.

The Ted Lindsay Award
That's right bitches. There's a new sheriff in town, and his name is Terrible Ted Lindsay. The Lester B Pearson Award will be renamed The Ted Lindsay Award on Thursday at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. It is a huge honor to have my Grandpa get the NHL Player's Association MVP Award. Every member of the NHLPA voted on who the award who to rename the award after. Not only that, but my Grandpa will present the first ever Ted Lindsay Award later this year at The ESPYS.We are heading up today for the big show and am looking forward to some rare family time. The ipod is full everything on the main page so there will be plenty of quality tunes.

Born Ruffians - 'What To Say'
Born Ruffians sophmore album 'Say It' is due out 5/31. The Canadian pop/rock group has resleased the video for 'What To Say' on Stereogum. It's super vintage because it was shot with an old school oscilloscope. It made for a pretty sweet video. Check it.

Band To Watch: Born Ruffians
Born Ruffians are a Canadian indie rock band, originally from the small town of Midland, Ontario(same as my Grandpa Ted). In 2008 they released their first album 'Red, Yellow & Blue'. It's very indie pop, think Vampire Weekend mixed with Phoenix vocals. All the songs on this album feel very innocent, it's very straightforward music. Just three guys, playing guitar, bass, and drums. Luke LaLonde has a very clean, catchy voice, and with all the harmonies on the album, it sort of reminds me of The Beach Boys.
They went through a bit of a rough patch, getting burnt out on the road, and eventually Steve said he didn't want to tour anymore. Now after taking a year off, they have gotten back together, put their differences aside and recorded a new album titled 'Say It'. Luke said their second album will sound much like the first, 'We just knew we couldn't go lo-fi. We want something cleaner. We're trying to make a hit record but in the most genuine way. We just want it to sound like us live ... but better.' Look for this album to hit stores and this band to blow up sometime in the next few months.
